To conclude my conversation with Melissa, we delve into the idea of teaching money to children. Questioning whether the way we've done things is the only way to continue doing them.
Have we evolved beyond what we have believed currency to always be? Do we use money as a tool? And if we do, how do we use it? Does it mean more to us than a form of exchange? Does the value of your Bank Account determine how we feel about ourselves? Does it affect how you see other People?
If you looked at the last 9 charges on your Credit Card, how do you feel about what you exchanged money for? Are we putting ourselves under financial pressure for things we don't really want? How much money do we spend out of obligation? Do we use spending money as a distraction from money problems, from stress, as an escape from some part of our reality?
They aren’t easy questions, but important ones.
I loved speaking with Melissa and was so grateful for how she so easily allowed our conversation to flow into a variety of topics. Love, Money and Success are deeply intertwined through the threads of our lives. Yet they remain some of the most unquestioned areas of our realities.
What questions would you ask now?
